craftedbydavs is a one-woman chainmaille studio in Hong Kong. every piece starts as a coil of stainless steel and hundreds of individual rings — cut, linked and closed by hand into weaves like the byzantine.
and each one gets a name. sharp tears. emerald vines. a circular ladder. they're feelings with sharp edges, made wearable.
it starts with bags of stainless steel jump rings and a spool of wire — the raw materials of every chain.
two pliers, one ring at a time. weaves like the byzantine come together link by link — no shortcuts.
the finished piece gets its name — and then it's yours. watch the whole process happen on instagram.
